In a big development today, a German national, Sonnteg Reiner Hermann
was deported for allegedly raising funds for anti-Kudankulam nuclear
plant protests in Tamil Nadu.
Sonnteg Reiner Hermann was reportedly close to PS Udayakumar, who has
been spearheading the Kundankulam protests. Hermann was being closely
watched by the intelligence sleuths for some time.
The development came hours before Udayakumar is supposed to send a
legal notice to the Prime Ministers, who alleged that NGOs in the US and
Scandinavian countries are funding the anti-nuclear protests in India.
SP Udayakumar is the Convenor of People's Movement Against Nuclear Energy.
